JAPAN BLOG - Day 3 & 4 - Momotaro/Matsue/Taniguchi/Tamaura

Having a hectic schedule this trip we have had to travel around a lot, not giving me much time to keep updates coming.

On Tuesday 2nd we attended the auction at Momotaro which attracted a big turn out, mainly nisai koi and male tosai along with sets of tosai for auction. We then drove on to Matsue in the afternoon, which was good and customers brought nisai Kohaku. Then a long drive home to finish off a hectic day.

Today (Wednesday) was back to Taniguchi Koi Farm for us to select more tosai and nisai, two serious tosai were purchased and nisai and I managed to re photograph some koi and customers koi. Then in the afternoon we moved on to Tamaura Koi farm, koi that we purchased here had really come on from the Autumn so they were re photographed while some more nisai were purchased.

Tomorrow we will be visiting Omosako Koi Farm for the day then heading back to Okayama, as in the morning we catch the shinkansen to Niigata City for the weekend and the ALL JAPAN SHOW at Toki Masse.

JAPAN BLOG - 3rd Day - Ooyama Koi Farm

Having lost a day traveling back to Tokyo to meet customers, there has been less time for koi viewing and blogging. Once we had met up we headed back to Hiroshima. We managed to squeeze in a visit to Ooyama koi farm. Some photo's show koi that are ours and some koi that were viewed today. Tomorrow morning is the Momotaro Auction and then were be heading off to Matsue in the afternoon.

JAPAN BLOG - 1st day and what a day!

Absolutely knackered this morning following the long journey, made my way to Taniguchi koi farm, for a great day koi hunting. The completed new fish house is great, having allowed Taniguchi to grow on many more tosai this year with each and every pond full of great koi. All of our customers koi looked in very good condition too.

Another new gorgeous sakai parent koi 96cm kohaku is shown below, also new momotaro shiro showa 96cm / isa 85cm showa parents have been purchased for this year.

Kondo Sanke, purchased at auction last year and raised by Taniguchi-san. Developing very nicely indeed.

Some examples of tosai Kohaku from Taniguchi koi farm purchased today.

Check back daily for more blog posts and great koi.
